Rory worked within the Marsh group of companies from 1985 through 2008. Previously he has worked in New York, London and South Africa.

 Placed cover on global placements utilizing the worldwide insurance markets ensuring their cover met insurance laws and regulations of those countries.
 Consulted on large or unusual claims for clients around the world.
 Marketed large excess programs to the worldwide markets including reinsurance participation.
 Set up and formulated the processes for the Contractor Controlled Programs for Fluor Corporation—this includes the implementation of Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP)—including the setup, management, program design, safety oversight, and administration
 Project Director for Los Angeles Metropolitan Transport Authority Metro when a consolidated Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) was implemented—using one broker and administrator.
 Placement of a number of coal-fired power stations 6*600mw for a total capacity of 3,600 known as principle-controlled projects in South Africa, valued in excess of $3 billion each.
 Placed the 1st nuclear power station insurance cover in the southern hemisphere.
 Facilitated settlements of unusual/difficult claim losses caused by fire, water damage, collapse, hail, design and chemical spills to name a few. Losses ranged from $1.5 million to $290 million which resulted in quick and equitable settlement of claims without litigation.

 Worked in the Risk Management department of a Construction Fortune 100 company as an outsourced consultant.
 Placed property/casualty programs for Construction Global companies, predominantly Fortune 500, with some values exceeding $1B by reducing premium costs and broadening coverage.
 Placed cover on global placements, utilizing worldwide insurance markets ensuring their cover complied with local insurance laws and regulations.

 Marketed large excess programs to worldwide markets which included reinsurance participation.
 As Project Director for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transport Authority Metro, consolidated three separate wrap-up programs with three brokers while facing a cancellation in two of the programs and two catastrophe liability losses into one consolidated OCIP program with the excess carriers remaining in place.
 Developed and formulated processes for Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP) for Fluor Corporation - including the implementation, setup, management, program design, safety oversight, and administration.
 Started Construction Division in South Africa which grew into the 2nd largest construction broker.
