Education and Credentials:
Garry Walsh is President of Health Technology Systems, Inc. (1988) & Hospital Policy Net, Inc. (2001). Prior to establishing these national advisory firms, Mr. Walsh became a patient care safety advocate while devoting hands-on care and administrative oversight to Oncology patients for almost a decade. It was during this period of time that he learned the complexities and importance of integrating excellent medical, technical and nursing care. He also learned that properly defined policies and procedures must be followed by all healthcare providers in order to accomplish the core patient care mission of delivering error- and harm-free clinical care.

As a health care policy and regulatory specialist, Mr. Walsh extends his expertise on Joint Commission and CMS regulations to the legal and healthcare community. His role is to contribute his knowledge and expertise to support his attorney clients by helping them to understand any non-compliant policies, training, practices or procedures that may or may not have culminated in any injury or harm to the plaintiff. Or conversely, to help attorney clients to defend their client facilities in the event that proper procedures were in force and thereby not reasonably at the root of any injury of harm.

The reader is respectfully invited to visit http://www.hospitalpolicynet.com/info/LEGAL.html to view videos that will offer a more detailed perspective on Mr. Walsh’s approach to attorney support, as well as the striking impact that something as basic as healthcare team communication can have on the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
