Example: Testified as a plaintiff expert on a case wherein a carpenter fell 30 stories to his death attributable to defective scaffolding. My report concluding that the scaffolding failed to meet adequate design standards, and was not properly inspected according to the terms of the contract. I provided consulting services that resulted in favorable award after two years of litigation.

Going shoulder to shoulder with contractors , developers, engineers, and architects has provide me with the experience to identify solutions to complex issue quickly and effectively. For example, I was called to a contractor who was bankrupt due to owner's claim of his failing to perform involving a marina project. Upon investigation, I found the engineers failed to identify a deep underground layer of gravel which was the cause of the groundwater boiling up to the surface and flooding the p;project. The contractor sued for damages, and won. He recovered both his money and his reputation.

A contractor built a temporary walkway over large temporary piping in the back of a restaurant connected to a hotel in Las Vegas. When the owner of the restaurant carried a sack of salt on his shoulders attempting to place them in the dishwashers, he grabbed the handrail to steady himself. The handrail failed, and he was injured. The handrails failed to comply with OSHA mandated limits for 200 lbs minimum load without deflection. During trail the contractor claimed the handrails were not necessary and that OSHA did not apply since the injured party was not an employee of the contractor. The jury made the award favorable to the contractor, but this was reversed by Nevada Supreme Court, due in part to my testimony at trial.
