Mr. Ostermueller first testified as an expert witness in 1981. He has since testified in multiple U.S. State and Federal courts, and in multiple Canadian Supreme courts regarding abroad range of Business Valuation, Compensation Reasonableness, Forensic Accounting and Damages-related issues over the past 35 years. His testimony has survived multiple Daubert-related challenges.

Ralph Ostermueller, CPA, ASA, ABV, CFE, founded The Ostermueller Group in 1981. His firm’s professional practice is focused on independent business valuation/appraisal issues, forensic accounting investigations, business brokerage/mergers and acquisitions, determinations of Executive Compensation Reasonableness and related expert witness testimony and consulting. He has served as senior manager, director, department head, consultant and senior staff for three national/international CPA and management consulting firms, and was the auditor and Chief Financial Officer for multiple private banks in Missouri and in Oklahoma. Mr. Ostermueller formed, owned and operated a franchise of a nationally-known business brokerage network and a consulting/appraisal firm in St. Louis, MO.

In addition to being licensed as a CPA in Missouri, some of Mr. Ostermueller’s earned certifications include:
Accredited Senior Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), an international organization of professional appraisers (valuers). He has served on ASA’s Board of Examiners for business valuation and on the ASA Business Valuation committee’s Public Relations sub-committee.

Accredited Business Valuer (ABV) by the American Institute of CPAs, the U.S. professional organization of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). He served on the Business Valuation sub-committee, the AICPA’s senior business valuation technical body.

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the world’s largest anti-fraud organization.

Ralph Ostermueller has served multiple terms as chairperson of the statewide Litigation Services committee and on the Public Relations committee for the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).
He was a practicing member of the Academy of Experts in London, England, and has provided his expert testimony and valuation reports throughout the United States and Canada.
