My firm performs assessments of DWI motor vehicle related stops and motor vehicle accidents primarily for Attorneys who represent DWI clients.. I assess all aspects of the roadside DWI investigation including the administration of field sobriety testing. I assess the processing procedures performed by police officers as it relates to the proper administration of an evidential breath test, obtaining a urine specimen from a DWI suspect and the police procedures for requesting a blood sample being drawn from a DWI suspect. In addition, as a former Drug Recognition Expert and Instructor I also review drug recognition evaluations and toxicology reports as it relates to the drug evaluation.

I was a New Jersey State Trooper for 28 years and was assigned to the Alcohol & Drug Testing Unit for just under 20 years. I was responsible for performing calibration testing of approved breath testing devices for police agencies all over the State of New Jersey for nearly 15 years. I was factory trained to perform routine inspections and maintenance of this breath testing instruments. I performed tens of thousands of calibration tests. I certified thousands of police officers for becoming breath testing operators and to become proficient in administering Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. In addition, I was certified as a Drug Recognition Expert and Instructor. I am a former State of New Jersey Drug Evaluation Coordinator which placed me in charge of the entire State of New Jersey DRE program.

As a State Expert, I was accepted and testified as an expert witness in DWI trials in all of the above mentioned areas over 800 times both in Municipal and Superior Courts. As a DWI Expert Consultant, I have evaluated over 1,200 cases and been accepted as an expert witness and testified in over 150 cases in New Jersey and New York State Municipal Courts and Superior Courts.
