Mr. Simon graduated from the University of Florida, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Quantitative Methods for Business from the School of Finance in the College of Business and a minor in accounting. Mr. Simon participated in advanced partner programs at KPMG for valuations, quantitative management, professional practice standards and general operations management.

Experienced finance and investment professional with over 30 years of consulting, operations and investing experience. Mr. Simon is a recognized for his work in mergers, acquisitions, deal structuring, asset management, capital formation and restructuring, operations, and finance in the hospitality and shared ownership industries. Mr. Simon also has detailed experience in private equity investing in non-real estate asset classes. Mr. Simon’s broad experience advising and managing hard asset and service based companies provides unique tactical and strategic planning capabilities and execution in a variety of business environments. Mr. Simon has extensive experience in litigation support and expert witness work.

-Diamond Resorts (Apollo Global Management) vs. Class Action - Mr. Simon represented Diamond Resorts as the lead expert in a shareholder litigation asserting that the public company was taken private at less than equitable valuation.
-Bluegreen Corporation vs. Class Action - Mr. Simon represented Bluegreen Resorts as the lead expert in a shareholder litigation asserting that the public company was taken private at less than equitable valuation.
-Eden Roc vs. Marriott International - Mr. Simon represented the ownership group of the Eden Roc as the lead expert in their lawsuit to terminate Marriott International's management and franchise contract for mismanagement and other actions.
- Maritz Wolff/Broadreach Partners vs. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
- Mr. Simon was the co-lead expert representing the private equity companies in their law suit to terminate Four Season's management and brand agreement.
- Atlantis Resort, Mezzanine Debt holders vs. Senior Debt Holders - Mr. Simon represented a group of Mezzanine debt holders trying to prohibit the Senior debt holders in the "equalization" of the senior debt position.
- Tamarak Ski Resort - Mr. Simon represented the secured and unsecured creditors in the bankruptcy of this high profile resort.
- Capri Capital Partners - Mr. Simon represented the mezzanine debt holders (Capri) in a UCC foreclosure and advising as to whether to assume the equity position as part of the foreclosure of the equity positions.
