David is a chartered engineer with extensive research and consulting experience in welding and joining, metallurgy, forensic engineering, failure analysis, corrosion analysis, steel production, fatigue, material characterization and non-destructive testing. He has been retained by industrial, corporate, legal and government entities to impartially investigate contentious matters concerning characterization and performance of construction materials, product compliance, fitness for service and asset failure. David has published technical papers and presented at international conferences in welding, metallurgy, residual stresses, NDE and post weld heat treatments.
David is an expert witness panel member for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors to provide impartial advisory and opinion for litigation and dispute resolutions arising from construction, land and property in the Oceania geography. He is a current board member of Engineer’s Australia National Committee of Applied Mechanics representing Materials Behavior and Fabrication Technology, a committee member of the Welding Technology Institute of Australia (Queensland).
