Mr. Hilliard has worked as a computer and management consultant since the 1980s, and has executive level experience in software development, project management, and computer/software sales and marketing. A graduate of MIT and the Harvard Business School, Mr. Hilliard is one of fewer than 15 consultants in the world to have earned designation as both a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Computing Professional (CCP).
He is a member of the IEEE, the Forensic Expert Witness Association and the Independent Computer Consultants Association, and is a published author and a professional speaker.
With more than 40 years of computer industry experience, Brooks Hilliard CMC® CCP is the only actively practicing expert witness in the world who is both a Certified Management Consultant™ (CMC), an International Standards Organization ISO/IEC 17024:2003 accredited certification, and a Certified Computing Professional (CCP). He is president of Business Automation Associates, Inc., an independent management consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona and specializing in computer system selection and problem resolution. Mr. Hilliard is one of fewer than 15 consultants in the world to attain both the CMC and CCP certifications.

Prior to founding Business Automation in 1980, Mr. Hilliard worked for computer companies where his responsibilities included management positions in software development, sales, marketing, field service, contract negotiations and general management. As a result of this experience, Mr. Hilliard can effectively assess a wide range of computer/legal issues, including: software development risks and responsibilities, computer marketing practices, valuation of computer systems, forensic data recovery and authenticity of dated computer documents.
