IT Disputes: Fitness for Purpose­
We are often instructed in IT disputes where the main issue centres on the quality of delivered software and/or the suitability of a computer system in terms of its non-functional requirements. With our in-house experience of managing and delivering large IT projects we are well placed to give opinions on the hardware and software and in particular whether the project was managed and delivered with ‘reasonable skill and care’.

This typically involves examination of the system hardware or the functionality of the software (often in an unfinished state) to establish what has been delivered and how that aligns with the requirements of the contract or the technical specifications. With our broad range of background experience we are able to assess IT projects across a wide spectrum of market sectors. Our experts have been deeply involved in all aspects of the technology delivery lifecycle, from systems developers through to running software delivery companies and advising procurers of technology for large corporations.
